Attributed to Alfred Herve (British, 1812-1879): A full length profile portrait silhouette of Thomas Wiltshire, dated 1847, together with a pair mid 19th cut paper figural silhouette pictures and a similar period painted bust profile portrait silhouette of a gentleman the first depicting a young graduate wearing a mortar board with bronze highlights, inscribed and dated 'Tho. Wiltshire, 1847', mounted in a glazed ebonised frame, the cut paper conversation groups depicting two men playing chess and a standing lady and seated gentleman, mounted in glazed maple frames, the profile portrait looking to sinister with bronze highlights, similarly framed and glazed, the first, 29cm x 20cm, the near pair, 22cm x 29cm, last, 13cm x 9cm, unframed (4) Fußnoten Provenance: The full length portrait of a young graduate Bonhams, lot 28, 28th February 2000 (£350 hammer) The similarly maple frame conversation groups Christies, lot 684, 13th March 2001 (£421.97 including Buyers Premium)
