Condition: Visual: Crazing throughout. The tacking edges removed when re-lined. Surface scratches with paint loss, each approximately 1'', along the upper center and lower left due to framing nails, located under the matting. Crazing throughout. A concentrated area of scattered pits of loss possibly due to flaking in the upper center and above Cupid's head. The lined canvas patched in the upper center.. Blacklight: Touch-up to address a T-shaped repaired tear in the upper right, approximately 8'' x 5.5''. A 3'' line of touch-up upper right. Scattered dime and pea-sized spots of touch-up throughout the right center. Scattered spots of touch-up on Venus's dress and touch-up to address a 2'' x 1'' 'L'-shaped repaired tear on her right leg. Minor scattered touch-up on the arrows in Venus's left hand. A 3.5'' x .5'' area of touch-up on Cupid's body and a pea-sized spot of touch-up on his face. Thin outlines of touch-up along the soles of the figures' four feet. A few other minor scattered dots of touch-up throughout.
