Attributed to Jacopo Negretti, called Palma il VecchioSerina circa 1480 - 1528 VeniceMadonna and Child with St. Anne, St. Joseph seated to the right, and two other Saints to the left Pen and brown ink over traces of black chalkbears pen and brown ink inscription on the verso: G.P.n:52 (see Provenance); bears 19th century attribution on the verso of the backing paper: Palma Vecchio156 by 237 mmCondition reportHinged to the new mount with two hinges at the top. Traces of a water stain along the top margin. A darker oil stain at the top center coming through from the verso. A dark discolaration at the top margin and along the right edge. Some knicks to the lower part of the right edge. The old hinge from the Sagredo's mount, top left, has created a whiter discoloration to the recto. The same to the bottom edge, where a small piece of the hinge is still stuck on the verso. The paper is slightly buckled and wrinkled. There are two small cracks around the watermark not visible.
