Beschreibung:

Aviation Slides. The Dr John Harrison collection of 35mm aviation slides, comprising approximately 3,500, civil and military aviation, tanks and aircraft recognition, mostly contained in slide boxes (Qty: archive) Provenance: 2152 (North Bristol) Squadron ATC. Dr John Harrison was a Bristol GP and ardent supporter of the RAF Air Cadets. For many years, he was actively involved with 2152 Squadron as a Civilian Instructor. His personal specialty was the instruction of Aircraft Recognition techniques and over the decades personally developed a huge resource of slides that he would use on training nights. When he retired as an instructor, he decided to donate this significantly important archive of many thousands of slides to the Squadron, which have been continued to be used. However, with improved digistation techniques, having an archive of this size is no longer critical and therefore it is being put up for auction.
