Bernard of Clairvaux: Melliflui devotiq[ue] doctoris Sa[n]cti Bernardi [...] Opus preclaru[m] suos co[m]plecte[n]s sermones de tempore […]. Paris: Venu[n]datur Parisius : In vico divi Jacobi sub lilio aureo a Johanne Parvo [1517]. Later ed. Folio. Printed in double columns. Title page printed in red and black, woodcut title border and device of Iehan Petit. Large woodcut engraving. 26 + 32 + 1–322 + 41 + 4 leaves. Many ink annotations in 16th and 17th century hand, underlinings, wormholes. Bound in cont. half vellum over wooden boards, traces of a bookworms on the inside and the outer. Wear due to age and use, lower part of spine defective. Provenance: With wood engraved super ex-libris of Jacob Ritter from Basel. First known owner Sebast.Lepuscolus (Haeslein), died in 1574. Bought from Rosenkilde and Bagger, cat. 209 France no. 31.
