PARIS: ANTOINE VITRÉ, (1629)-1645 9 volumes in 10 (volume 5 bound in two parts), imperial folio (500 x 338mm.), woodcut initials, vol.1: title printed in red and black, two engraved frontispieces, engraved maps on A1v and T1v, engraved illustrations on Kk1v and Kk2r; vol.2: engraved map on A1r and Ff1v; vol.3: replacement printed text pasted to Cc4v (Job 1:22); vol.4: additional printed leaf "Sexta aetas..." inserted between h1 and h2; vol.5 part 1: two engraved maps (one with text on verso, both repaired at foredge); vol.5 part 2: engraved plate pasted to recto of first leaf; contemporary mottled calf with double gilt fillet border, spines gilt in compartments, later red and green morocco lettering-pieces, occasional light damp-staining or browning or spotting, some off-setting from engravings, rebacked, some joints cracked, vol.1: 2[paraph]4 misbound, a few paper repairs to last 2 leaves, vol.3: paper repair to first leaf, Qqq3 torn and repaired without loss, vol.4: Aa4 and Gg3 repaired at foredge, Bbb3 and q2 repaired at foot, Yyy3 repaired without loss though touching text, vol.5 part 1: Ii1 repaired at head, vol.5 part 2: a1 torn at foredge and laid down on an engraved plate, i2-4 repaired at foot, small hole in t4 with loss of a couple of letters, vol.7: A1 repaired at foredge, Dd1 repaired at foot, Hhh2 slightly soiled, Hhh3 repaired at foredge, small wormhole in lower margin at end, vol.8: A1-3 and H3-I3 and Nn2 and Hhh2 repaired at foredge, last two leaves damaged and repaired at head; vol.9: paper flaw in PPp2 with loss of a few letters, NNnn2 repaired at foredge, 5H3 repaired at foot
