Bill Owens (American, b. 1938) Seven Photographs of Various Subjects, early 2000s. Three signed and titled in black marker within the margins. Inkjet prints, image sizes to 8 1/2 x 11 1/2 in. (21.6 x 29.2 cm), unmatted, unframed. Condition: Good. Provenance: From the artist to Russell Hart. N.B. These works were produced by Owens upon his return to photography after a near 20 year hiatus. According to Russell Hart, the previous Executive Editor of American Photo magazine, Owens reached out to him in the early 2000s to discuss his return to photography, specifically, taking the leap into digital photography. Hart arranged the loan of several different digital cameras to the artist who in turn gave him some of his first digital photographs, including several test prints which are included within the lot.
