Very impressive collection of empty bookbindings: 16th c. (?) panelstamped vellum (dam., loosening) on wooden boards, 62 x 41 cm, with 4 heavy brass cornerpcs, in the middle later cross, probably from a Antiphonarium. - 16th c. nicely preserved goldtooled lavishly decorated vellum, folio size. - 17th c. mottled calf, gilt spine on 7 raised bands, 57 x 45 cm, binding for "Atlas Universelle (!) par Mr. Robert". - 17th c. gilt mottled calf, gilt spine on 5 raised bands, 28,5 x 32 cm. - 18th. c. half calf, elaborately gilt spine on 5 raised bands with title label "Atlas de l'histoire des voyages". - 5 vellum bindings of various sizes (1 modern for Thomas Morus' "L'Isle d'Utopie"). - Gilt (faded) stamped vellum folder, 31,5 x 23 cm. - 17th c. vellum binding with +/- 17 ff. empty pages, with ribbons. - Box made of a book "Le grand Dictionnaire géographique et critique par M. Bruzen La Martinière", 1737, goldtooled leather decorated with a dentelles border, 4 cornerpcs, in the middle of the covers an armorial stamp, gilt spine on 6 raised bands, red polished edges, decorative endpaper, red silk marker.
