Volume X only, 2° (540 x 345mm). Spanish text. Letterpress title with hand-coloured vignette. Engraved additional title (foremargin cut-down and repaired) and 16 double-page engraved maps only (of 17, lacking Imperii Sinarum nova descripta), all finely hand-colured by a contemporary hand. (Occasional light marginal dampstaining, margins of a few leaves slightly soiled.) 19th-century calf gilt, the covers onlaid with the gilt vellum panels from the original binding, crowned A.C. monogram on spine, g.e. (scuffed and slightly soiled, small tears to joints). Provenance : unidentified A.C. monogram (binding). Volume X from Blaeu's Spanish edition of the Atlas Major , published between 1658 and 1672. Lacking the Martini map of the Chinese Empire, but with fine copies of the 15 maps of the provinces of China, and the map of Japan. Cf. Koeman Bl 60 A.
