BRANNER, MARTIN Group of twelve "Winnie Winkle" daily strips , variously dated from 1921 to 1960 (all but two date from 1930 or before). Various sizes, but approximately 7 x 21 inches (18 x 53 cm); ink on watercolor paper, each signed. Two of the daily strips are contiguous in narrative, one of them is written in "code" (but unfortunately without the decoder strip which appeared the following week). Soiling to extremities, annotations and stamps in the margins.
