Brian Bourke has been described as one of the most significant artists working in Ireland, with a range of painting, drawing and sculpture over four decades reflecting an affinity for his subject and a marked sense of humour. Bourke has represented Ireland at several international exhibitions, received numerous awards and his work is included in public and private collections both in Ireland and abroad. He is an elected a member of Aosdána and an Honorary member of the Royal Hibernian Academy.
