(4to) 12¾x9½, original decorative green cloth, expertly rebacked with original spine laid down, stamped in brown and black, lettered in gilt, dark brown endpapers. First Trade Edition. One of the important and rare golf books published before 1900. An account of 51 of the finest British golf courses, including Pau, Biaritz and Cannes, (as well as 3 in France). Murdoch 385; D&M 2950; D&J H28240. Lot Amendments Condition: Shelf wear, rubbing, mild wear to spine; hinges nicely repaired, large marginal tear with old tape repair to frontispiece verso, repaired tear to rear flyleaf; still very good overall.
