Beschreibung:

Bronze and Cold Painted Bust of a Turkish Princess Cast from a model by Adrien Etienne Gaudez late 19th/early 20th century Depicted in three-quarter profile, dressed in a cap and shawl. Height 29 1/2 inches. C
appears to be in generally good condition, however, there are old water streak marks that run down from the eyes and down both cheeks and into a single line down the center of the neck; both bottom ear tips are pierced indicating there were once earrings that are now missing; there are remnants of red cold paint in some of the crevices such as the headband and shawl, which is now worn or rubbed away; there is also evidence there was once gilding in certain areas, which is now worn or rubbed away, notably the lower front band of the garment and also the bottom part of the square base; patina is now largely dulled; inscribed in script along the lower underside of the proper left shoulder A. Gaudez; no apparent foundry mark
