First edition. Contemporary brown cloth decorated in gilt and in blind. 5 7/8 x 3 3/4 inches; 224, [5] pp.; frontispiece, 2 woodcut plates of hooks, publisher's advertisements. A bit worn with some loss to extremities, some gilt rubbed away, pale staining to cloth, scattered foxing, gift inscription to front free endpaper, bookplate to rear free endpaper, contemporary annotations to rear pastedown.
