Title printed in red and black within woodcut title border showing men working at stills beneath trees with intertwining branches, numerous small text woodcuts of stills and plants, fraktur initials and ornaments. Nissen BBI 270. One of several mid-sixteenth-century editions printed in Frankfurt of this popularized adaptation of the Kleines Destillierbuch , the first printed by Gülfferich in 1550 and quickly reprinted (Nissen lists 3 Gülfferich editions). The present edition is one of two undated editions from the Weygand Han shop, illustrated with the Egenolff pirate copies of the Weiditz-Brunfels series; the title border is a reduced copy of the border used in Gülfferich's 1546 edition of Brunfels.
