Wilbur Adam (American, 1898-1973), signed and dated 22, l.r., with inscribed label on verso containing title and original price of $60; 15.5 x 19.5 in. Given the larger curve of the bridge on the artist's side, we know that Adam was painting from the Cincinnati side, looking in a southeasterly direction. The L & R Railroad bridge was the first spanning Cincinnati and Newport. The "Buick Barge" must be the vessel in the foreground. Condition: Clean under blacklight.
