Exhibited: Rody McCorley Museum, on long-term loan up to February 2018. 25 fired bullets and 25 cartridge-cases, various calibres from .22 up to .455, mounted, in two frames. The spent cartridges and...Read more 25 fired bullets and 25 cartridge-cases, various calibres from .22 up to .455, mounted, in two frames. Frame size, Collected by children in the aftermath of gun-battles around Belfast in the late 1960s and early 1970s. The spent cartridges and fired bullets were then traded in school playgrounds. Childrens' collections might aim to include bullets and cartridge cases from gun battles in every area of the city or every calibre of weapon possible. This collection includes metal detector finds from the Black Mountain area of the city.
