High condition Marlin Model 1893 lever action saddle ring carbine, serial number D8293. 20" round barrel chambered in .30-30 WCF with carbine rear sight, carbine front sight with German silver insert, full-length magazine tube, and "SPECIAL SMOKELESS STEEL" marking with serifs on each end. Color case hardened frame with saddle ring. 2-piece plain walnut stock and forearm with carbine buttplate. CONDITION: Excellent plus, with a vast majority of the original bluing remaining with scattered minor handling and storage marks throughout. Action retains bright original case color with extremely light carry wear at bottom of receiver and light wear from saddle ring. Stock and forearm are very good with scattered but visible dings throughout. Action is tight and crisp. Bore is frosted with sharp rifling.
