Lot consists of (A) Saginaw Grand Rapids, Michigan M-1 carbine made between July 1943 and September 1943. Underwood marked barrel dated 8-43. Gun was converted to have some M2 style parts with round bolt, slot cut for switch in stock and M-2 slide, but remains an M1. Late style rear sight, flip safety, and sling band with bayonet lug added when rearsenalled. Correct internal parts but of mixed manufacture. Correct but unmarked walnut stocks. Gun imported by Davidson's. Comes with green woven sling, ammo pouch and two 15 round clips. CONDITION: Arsenal refinish on metal parts with 60% remaining. Wood has service marks with added finish. Shootable bore with ME of 2 and good mechanics. (B) Underwood manufactured M-1 carbine made between November 1942 and July 1943. Underwood marked barrel dated 2-43. Gun was rearsenalled for Korea with some M-2 parts, including stock cut for switch, slide and round bolt but is an M1. Correct mixed manufacture internal parts. Late style sling band with bayonet stud, late style rear sight and flip style safety. Comes with green woven sling, ammo pouch and two 15 round clips. CONDITION: B) Overall good with 60% arsenal finish. Wood has service marks and has been refinished. Good mechanics and shootable bore with ME of 2.
