Springfield Model 1903 bolt action rifle made in 1904 at Springfield Armory in 30-06 caliber. Military finished blued barrel with "SA, Flaming Bomb and 05" markings. Case hardened action marked "U.S. Springfield Armory Model 1903 77618" with serial number in gothic script. Blued bolt marked with a "1" under bolt. Covered front sight with rear sight graduated to 2800 yards. Walnut finger groove stock with no stock bolts and unmarked front. Marked on left side with "J.F.C." in square and "P" in circle behind trigger guard. Ungrooved walnut top wood. Milled trigger guard and smooth buttplate with oiler in butt. Comes with original style undated leather sling. CONDITION: Overall good with metal turning a plum patina. Wood has added finish with visible cartouches and heavy usage marks. No visible repairs or restoration. Good bore with visible lands and grooves. Good mechanics.
