Title in red and black, engraved portrait, plate of coins and 13 plates of battles, military formations, sieges, etc, 9 folding (one completely torn at fold but both pieces present). Contemporary panelled calf (lacks label, head of spine worn). Provenance : W.S. Cresswell, 1827 (signature on title and on an endpaper). Wing C200. PARIVAL, Jean Nicolas de (1605-1669). The Historie of this Iron Age ... now rendred into English, by B. Harris . London: for J. Crook [and others], 1659. 2° (280 x 170mm). 10 engraved portraits (only, of 13?), frontispiece-portrait added from another work (one portrait torn and repaired, a little spotting and staining, a few short tears in the margins). Contemporary calf, sides ruled in blind (upper hinge split). Provenance : L.A. Burd (armorial bookplate). Wing P361A. And 15 others, mostly historical. (17)
