Half title, tinted lithographed frontispiece and additional pictorial title, 32 plates, most lithographs printed in colours, folding lithographed map at end, hand-coloured in outline, wood-engraved illustrations. (Some mainly marginal staining and spotting.) Original cloth decorated in black and lettered in gilt, lower cover with decoration in blind (some darkening at edges of boards, corners rubbed). FIRST EDITION IN BOOK FORM. RARE. No copy recorded at auction in the last 30 years.
