Eight Months on Active Service; or A Diary of a General Officer of Cavalry in 1854, London: printed by William Clowes and Sons, circa 1855, 122pp., marbled edges, a few minor chips to margins of first few leaves, glue residue from a removed bookplate to front pastedown, original blindstamped cloth, front cover lettered in gilt, worn with back strip deficient and covers detached, 8vo, together with: Lucan (George Charles Bingham, Earl of). English Cavalry in the Army of the East. 1854 & 1855. Divisional Orders & Correspondence whilst under the command of Lieut.-General The Earl of Lucan, K.C.B., London: G. Routledge & Co., 1856, [8] + 142pp., original publisher's blindstamped red cloth gilt, old ownership signature of E. Jekyll to upper margin of front pastedown, Cavalry Club bookplate to front pastedown, some wear with portions to head and foot of spine missing, small 8vo (Quantity: 2)
