Original leaf from the Polycronicon hinged at front. (Leaf lightly browned and spotted). Original cloth-backed boards, the covers with Caxton monogram printed in black, original printed paper spine label. Provenance : purchased from Emil Offenbacher 15 February 1946. LIMITED EDITION, one of 297 copies printed for The Book Club of California by Edwin and Robert Grabhorn. The text includes a life of Caxton by Benjamin P. Kurtz, a note on the Polychronicon by Oscar Lewis and an appreciation of William Caxton by Edwin Grabhorn. Chalmers Disbound and Dispersed 76.
