Cecil Conroy: Royal Horse Artillery, 10th Hussars etc. A small collection of paintings and scraps, mainly of RHA and 10th Hussars, as follows: three grey cards, 8in. by 15in. and slightly smaller: one, signed Cecil Conroy 1891 , depicting an RHA gun-team circa 1815, another (unsigned) showing five dismounted figures, inscribed The Royal Artillery 1815 , the third (also unsigned) showing two mounted gunners of similar date; three irregular-shaped cards, one signed C. Conroy 1889 , with four water-colour vignettes of RHA, another a team of Horse Artillery ramming a charge, the third, also unsigned, with five vignettes of RHA at various dates; three cards, each approximately 7in. by 17in., all unsigned, all of the 10th Hussars: one depicting two officers in front of a troop circa 1890, another with three vignettes of troopers circa 1808-10, the third with two vignettes of troopers, dated 1804 and 1805 respectively; seven pages, approximately 9in. by 10in., torn from a spiral notebook, each mounted with scraps, including one of a Corporal-Major of the Blues, a Trooper of the 12th Lancers, officers and men of various other cavalry regiments, Royal Artillery, Royal Engineers etc.; together with a print of the Battle of Waterloo, inscribed The total defeat and flight of the French Army (at the Battle of Waterloo) Commanded by Napoln. Bounaparte (sic) Jun 1815/Dub Jan 4, 1819 by RD Holmes Laurie, 53 Fleet St. (mount scuffed, a 5-inch tear to right-hand edge).
