Château Cheval-Blanc--Vintage 1994
6 bottles per lot
Château Cheval-Blanc--Vintage 1994 Saint-Emilion, 1er grand cru classé (A) Tasting Note: 'Cold year, much rain', Monsieur Hébrard told us at the mammoth Wolf/Weinart vertical in September 1997. The magnum was typically sweet on entry, lean, with an astringent finish. Showing far better in comparison to the other '94s at the MW tasting the following year. In fact my highest mark. Attractive fragrance, lovely flavour. My second highest mark at Rodenstock's blind tasting : a well developed, sweet and chocolatey nose and flavour. I did not note any excess tannin. Clearly evidence of the Right Bank's success in 1994. Last tasted March 2001. **** M.B. 6 bottles per lot
