Of rounded rectangular form supported on a splayed oval footrim, with a spreading neck and flat lip; painted in black ink and subdued colors with a continuous hilly landscape strewn with trees and shrubs, one side with a man pulling a rotund, stubborn horse by a rein, the verso featuring a thin old man smoking a pipe walking behind a thin horse proceeding towards a small pond, one side inscribed 'for the approval of Zhenqi, the honorable elder brother', dated gengxu (1910), signed Chen Zhongsan, with one seal painted in red.
