Christophe FRATIN (1801 - 1864) "Tout ce qui vit sort d'un œuf" Sculpture en bronze à patine brune figurant un homme de science sortant d'un œuf portant la maxime titre et la mention "Mamifères" au devant, et "Application de la ressemblance" à l'arrière. Le personnage porte deux gourdes marquées de l'inscription "RR A oeuf", ses bras appuyés sur deux piles de livres, l'une portant les noms de plusieurs zoologistes et biologistes (Cuvier, Linné, Buffon) et sur l'autre pile "Théorie des ressemblances par le chevalier Da Gama Machado 1842". L'œuf est accompagné de cinq autres, de plus petite taille, portant les inscriptions "Reptiles", "Plantes", "Poissons", "Oisaux" et "Insectes". A l'arrière deux autres livres marqués sur la tranche "Incompréhensible" et "Inexplicable" accompagné de deux tortues. Estampillée "Fratin" sur la plinthe. "All that lives comes out of an egg" A brown patinated bronze sculpture by Christophe Fratin depicting a man of science emerging from an egg that bears the maxim title and the mention "Mamifers" in front, and "Applying resemblance" at the back. The character carries two gourds marked with the inscription "RR A oeuf", his arms resting on two piles of books, one bearing the names of several zoologists and biologists (Cuvier, Linné, Buffon) and on the other pile " Theory of similarities by the knight Da Gama Machado 1842 ". The egg is accompanied by five others, of smaller size, bearing the inscriptions "Reptiles", "Plants", "Fishes", "Birds" and "Insects".
