The first two works are two different editions of Cini's musical dialogue written for the marriage of Cosimo de' Medici and Maria Maddalena of Austria. They are virtually identical, but the second one is printed on one less quire, the head- and tailpieces having been omitted, and the text on the whole set much more closely together. Neither edition is in Clubb, which only lists its printing in Rinuccini's description of the festivities (see lot 1254). The third work, written for the same occasion, is Clubb 299. (3)
