First Edition. State with second line from bottom of p.149 of Vol. IV reading "all owed" for "allowed". Ownership signatures of H. Dunbar on front pastedowns; large, 20th century bookplate of Edith Taylor on front free endpapers. Lot Amendments Condition: Covers rubbed, spine worn, joints cracked or cracking, a few with earlier leather repairs, Vol. I rebacked with original spine strip laid on; some darkening and aging to contents, else very good.
