CLAUDE FAYETTE BRAGDON (1866-1946) THE ROCHESTER POST EXPRESS / THE BEST REPUBLICAN NEWSPAPER IN WESTERN NEW YORK. 1895. 23 1/2x20 inches, 59 3/4x50 3/4 cm. Condition B+: minor tears and abrasions at edges; sharp creases in upper corners; creases in margins and image and along vertical and horizontal folds. Paper. Bragdon was primarily regarded as an architect, but was also an illustrator, stage designer and graphic designer. He lived and worked for a large part of his life in Rochester, New York. This rare poster is never seen with the inclusion of the text on the right. Margolin only reproduces the image portion of this poster and it is similarly prestented without the the text on the right in Posters in Miniature . Margolin p. 196, Crystal Palace 590.
