Clérambault, Louis-Nicolas-Cantates Françoises Mellées de Simphonies...Livre III.e [score], Paris: L'Auteur, Foucault, 1716 FIRST EDITION, 2 leaves, 76 pages, folio (c.35 x 24cm), initialled by the composer on the title ("C[paraph]"), engraved table, privilege and music, ownership inscription to first page of music ("Mdelle De Bonchamps"), Dolmetsch Library stamp and pencil shelfmark ("II C 52") to verso of title, early doodles in red crayon to front endpaper, first gathering loose, disbound, modern brown-paper wrappers, browning to edges, some light damp-staining to upper margin of first twelve pages of music The third of five books of cantatas (published between 1710 and 1726) in which Clérambault perfected a fruitful union of French and Italian styles.
