Contemporary salmon cloth (probably publisher's], titled as noted. 13 1/2 x 10 inches (34 x 26 cm); with a series of 24 views of Ostend and the bathing establishments there; 10 fine plates of costume of the region; 17 humorous plates, mostly by Cham; and a folding panorama of the beach. All of the plates except the last are hand-colored tinted lithographs (the panorama is merely tinted). Wear to binding, generally internally clean. A rare and delightful series of plates, all published by Buffa, presumably purchased by a visitor to the resort. The only sale record we can find is of the Album d'Ostende dedie a S.A.R. le Comte de Flandre by Buffa (which has only 18 plates and a panorama), sold in 1982. C
