Columned clock South Bohemia, Ceske Budejovice, Andreas Rainer, 1820. Classical clock with four columns have the bottom socle decorated with central stairway ascending to portico which is optically enlarged by angle mirrors in the back. Owing to the wall of mirrors, the portico’s floor gives an effect of two round mosaic motifs. On sides of architrave there are two gilded woodcarvings with motifs of stylized flying swans. The clock case is crowned with small alabaster bust. The clockwork with quarter chimes was originally fitted with datum work which is now missing. On clockface with ciphers there is mark “Andreas Rainer in Budwitz”. State C. H. 59 cm. Ausrufpreis: 39 000
