CONRAD, JOSEPH. Typed letter signed ("Joseph Conrad"), with autograph postscript, to Mr. Bragdon, Kent, 30 June 1920. 1 full page, 4to, neatly tipped to a larger sheet. A good literary letter remarking on his novel The Inheritors , and its portrayal of the Fourth Dimension: "Generally speaking, I am singularly inapt to embrace metaphysical speculation...[ The Inheritors ] was indeed the play of an utterly unenlightened mind and anyhow most of this profane fooling was done by Hueffer. Also it was not very well done...." He promises to send Bragdon an inscribed copy of The Rescue : "Pray find for it a place on your bookshelf." Boldly signed.
