Constantine I, the Great (AD 307-337), Gold Medallion of 2 Solidi, 8.8 gms., mint of Nicomedia, AD 324-325, or later, radiate, draped and cuirassed bust of Constantine the Great left, right hand raised, holding globe in left hand, legend above, rev. emperor, togate, standing facing, holding scepter in left hand extending right hand to kneeling city-goddess at left, being crowned by victory on right, PIETAS AVGVSTI N above, mint mark in exergue (RIC 69; Cohen 391-Gnecchi I, p. 18, 36 and pl. 7,9 = Alfoldi CG 294, same dies) good very fine, the second known example, and the only one in private hands, most probably struck to celebrate the Emperor's decision to found a new Imperial capital at Constantinople
