Constitution and By-Laws of the San Francisco Fire Department Mutual Aid Association Incorporated January 5, 1912 Author: Place: San Francisco Publisher: Date: 1912 Description: 24 pp. 14.7x10.3 cm (5¾x4"), original printed wrappers. Rare constitution and by-laws of this mutual aid society of San Francisco's firemen, the primary purpose of which was to defray the costs of burials for deceased members, and to paying "weekly benefits to members when sick, disabled, and unable to follow their usual vocations..." The association was based at 2281 Geary Street in San Francisco. John J. Conlan, listed at the back as a past president, served as First Assistant Fire Chief Engineer, San Francisco Fire Department, and was killed in action in 1919. No copies are listed in OCLC. Lot Amendments Condition: Fine or nearly so. Item number: 318519
