Titles in French and Spanish, numerous themed vignettes surrounding each map. Framed. Condition: some light wear affecting margins, minor restoration. a fine set of Clouet's elaborate and decorative wall maps of the four continents. The elaborately engraved borders incorporate biblical and historical scenes including, on the Americas map, the discovery of America. Clouet followed in the footsteps of Nolin and other Fernch cartographers, reissuing these grand wallmaps in the latter part of the 18th cenntury to decorate the houses of Paris and more unusually Spain.
