(8 7/16 x 6 3/8 in.), janséniste red morocco, board edges gilt-ruled, turn-ins richly gilt, g.e., by MARIUS-MICHEL- a few tiny rubbed spots at extremities of spine and corners, title-leaf (browned and with small repair) supplied from another copy, engraved title and letterpress title fore-edges and K3 headline shaved, some minor soiling, small waterstain to 3 leaves . FIRST EDITION, second issue (Tchemerzine's "Edition B"), italic type, additional engraved title by P. Daret after C. le Brun, engraved title vignette by Daret, woodcut initials and head- and tail-pieces. Rothschild II, 1144; Tchemerzine II, pp. 540-41.
