cover 1766-1912 entire letters, entires, covers and some pieces, an interesting selection including 1766 London Penny Post (L.336); 1796 "above Privilege" handstamp on 1½oz letter from Weymouth to Edinburgh; a small study of redirected mail; postage-due items with "More to Pay" types including the very scarce Glasgow "frying-pan", and a range of "2" handstamps; TPOs and "Too Lates"; Missent handstamps for Birmingham and Worcester; late use of "Sunday" handstamps: and a range of sub-office types with circular undated namestamps and Penny Posts (including "Aycliffe/Penny Post" cancellation on 1d. red, on small piece): and 1912 envelope showing the Wilkinson experimental "postage paid" machine impression. Mainly very good condition but with some faults and creases etc. (79 items)
