Craigie Aitchison R.A.1926 - 2009Nandi Bull in Front of Temple III signed Craigie Aitchison and dated 1999-2000 (on the canvas overlap)oil and pencil on canvasunframed: 76 by 61cm.; 30 by 24in.framed: 91 by 75.5cm.; 35¾ by 29¾in.Executed in 1999-2000.Condition reportOriginal canvas. The work is in generally very good overall condition. There is some minor rubbing with a few tiny losses about the extreme edges. There are a few specks of staining and what appears to be a possible bloom in places. Some extremely minor craquelure to the brown pigment. Ultraviolet light reveals the aforementioned possible bloom, but no obvious signs of retouching. Held in a painted and gilt wood frame.
