CUENTOS DE BRUJAS No. 44 * Mexican CHAMBER OF CHILLS No. 24 Publisher: La Prensa Date Published: June, 1955 Description: CGC certified: Fine- (5.5). Off-white pages. Mexican version of Chamber of Chills #24 (Harvey, 1954). Color interiors. Stories translated into Spanish. Cover: Lee Elias. Art: Bob Powell, Howard Nostrand, Mort Meskin, Tom Hickey. CGC Census: 3 graded copies, of which 5.5 is the top grade (there are two copies graded 5.5). GPAnalysis: No reported sales in any grade. Classic "hand-from-the-grave" cover. The cover motif is appropriate: by the time this mag hit Mexican newsstands, pre-Code horror was dead in the United States, and the zombies, werewolves, vampires, and assorted monstrosities that were purged from American comics arose from their graves to wander in lonely exile south of the border. Enjoying the Sale? Order a fully-illustrated softcover catalogue for 30 bucks. Only about 100 copies were printed and they're going fast. To reserve a copy, contact PBA's Director of Comics: ivan@pbagalleries.com. Consign to PBA Galleries. Our comic sales average a 98% sell-through rate, our prices realized are top-of-the-market, and our research-intensive catalogues are the best in the business. Seeking Silver Age Marvel, Golden Age superheroes, and pre-Code horror. Contact ivan@pbagalleries.com. Item#: 350035 Headline: CUENTOS DE BRUJAS #44 * CGC 5.5 * Mexican CHAMBER OF CHILLS #24
