Lot of 19, consisting of 4 sixth plate daguerreotypes, 5 ninth plate daguerreotypes, 4 sixth plate ambrotypes, 4 ninth plate ambrotypes, 1 sixth plate tintype, and 1 ninth plate tintype, housed in full pressed paper or thermoplastic cases. Case covers mainly feature geometric designs, including a "Rare" example [Berg 3-429], along with some figural and floral patterns: Day, Aurora 1 [1-143], Stained Glass Window [1-145], Flowers and Grapes [2-58], and the "Very Rare" Serenade [1-167]. Male subjects sport oversize bow ties or cravats, including a freckle-faced young man wearing a shiny tie with fringed edges and an attractive man wearing a watch chain and extremely wide bow tie. Female sitters wear dark dresses accented by decorative collars, brooches, or necklaces, including a young woman wearing a wide lace collar and a cameo mounted on a long, striped ribbon; a woman with a short, beaded necklace and a gold brooch, and an older lady with a massive cameo.
