Edited by Captain Robert Fitzroy London: Henry Colburn, 1839. Volumes II, Appendix to volume II and volume III (only, lacking vol. I), 8°. Half titles in vols. II and III, 16pp. publisher's advertisements at end of Appendix, 6 folding maps and charts loosely inserted in pocket at the front of each volume, 2 in each pocket, 31 engraved plates (some browning and spotting to plates and charts, folding map at front of vol. II with tears to folds). Vol. II: original(?) blue cloth with label 'W. Erskine Mayne., 3. Donegall Sq. W. Belfast' on rear pastedown, covers with double fillet border stamped in blind, titled in gilt on spine (covers slightly bowed, extremities bumped, small splits to joints); vols. III and Appendix to vol. II: original blue/green diaper-grain cloth, covers with outer border of three wide fillets blocked in blind, surrounding an inner panel defined by intertwined scrolling strapwork (spines faded and torn, extremities bumped, front pastedown to the Appendix volume replaced). FIRST EDITION OF VOLUME III AND THE APPENDIX TO VOLUME II, volume II is also a first edition but is in a variant binding (possibly a remainder binding). Cf. Freeman 10; cf. Sabin 37826. (3)
