DELAWARE] Proceedings of the Convention of the Delaware State, Held at New-Castle On Tuesday the Twenty-seventh of August, 1776 . Wilmington: James Adams, 1776. 11 3/4 x 7 inches (30 x 18.5 cm); 35 pp., bound with a portion of a second work printing the 1792 Delaware Constitution (signed in print at end by secretary James Booth). Stamp to title, signatures of Nicholas Ridgely to title and other contemporary marginalia which is trimmed but largely legible. This 1776 work contains the first Delaware Constitution on p. 21 and this portion of the work, along with the 1792 Constitution which follows, is annotated in the margins in a contemporary hand. Nicholas Ridgely was a Kent County delegate to the convention to ratify the Federal Constitution in 1787. Not in Evans; Shipton & Mooney 43018; Bristol B4208; Rink 97.
