His most important work being "Histoire de l'église" (in English: "History of the Church") and was issued at Paris, 1778–90, in twenty-four volumes. The history gives a circumstantial account of the catholic Church from the time of its founding up to the year 1721. Lot Amendments Condition: Wear and soiling to bindings, rubbing to extremities, library labels on heel of spines; some hinges cracked or starting, library stamps, labels, etc. on endpapers and preliminary pages, scattered foxing, darkening to textblock; about very good.
