Desirable L.C. Smith Field Grade side by side shotgun made by Hunter Arms Company in 1931. 1 of 2,509 made and 1 of 1,429 with 26" barrel. 26" blued Armor Steel .410 caliber fluid steel barrels with high single sighting plane, matted rib, and bead front sight with extractors. Case hardened featherweight sidelock frame with automatic safety and double triggers. Walnut checkered pistol grip stock with hard rubber buttplate and grip cap. Matching checkered splinter forearm with friction latch. CONDITION: 80% plus barrel blue with some light surface corrosion. Barrels ping nicely. 70% colors with some surface browning. 80% reapplied varnish with checkering recut with some handling dings and marks. Good bores and mechanics.
