DIOGENES LAERTIUS (3rd cn. CE.). De vita & moribus philosophorum . Venice: [Bonetus Locatellus] for Octavianus Scotus, 18 December 1490. Small 4° (207 x 150mm). 42 lines and headline, roman letter, woodcut captials, guide letters, 112 leaves (upper margin cropped occasionally touching headline, light staining in lower margin towards the end, light thumb-soiling). 19th-century russia gilt, with the arms of Newstead Abbey on covers (front cover almost detached, head of spine torn away, spine and extremities quite rubbed, front cover spotted), g.e. Provenance : NEWSTEAD ABBEY (arms on covers); some underlining and annotations in margins in ink in an old hand (some annotations cropped). Goff D-222; GKW 8381; HC 6202; Klebs 338.4.
