Full brown pebbled morocco (a publisher's binding)? 15 1/2 inches (40 cm); [12], xii, 191 [1] pp., with engraved half-title, frontispiece, and 52 engraved plates by Dore, each with tissue. Light binding wear, tissue opposite frontispiece torn, occasional very minor pale foxing, an attractive copy; Together with COLERIDGE, SAMUEL TAYLOR. The Rime of the Ancient Mariner. Harper and Brothers, New York, 1881. Publisher's cloth. 18 1/4 inches (46 cm); 12 pp., plates. Front endpaper detached, else a sound copy. The first work is generally reckoned Dore's finest graphic accomplishment, and remains a powerful social document, akin to Mayhew's vision of the London poor. C Estate of Karl Lunde
