Lot of 16. Dr. Thomas Jones was born in Indiana in 1878. He graduated from Indiana University in 1898 and was a student at Heidelberg University in Germany from 1894-1897. He was the House Officer at St. Mark's in Brooklyn, NY from 1902-1903 and interned there from 1903-1905. He also visited Johns Hopkins University at an exciting time in medicine and was listed on their university circulars under degrees conferred for many years. He established a practice as a surgeon in Anderson, IN but returned to Europe as a graduate student in Vienna, Austria from 1909-1910. He continued to practice in Anderson until his death in 1944. Includes: A mounted photograph of Ward F at John's Hopkins Hospital dated 1901/1902 with the doctors (including Dr. Thomas Jones and a man resembling Dr. Howard A. Kelly), nurses, and smiling sick children in bed. Measures 6.5 x 4.5 in. and 10 x 8 in. with its mount.
